Come and play
Parents/Carers/Grandparents/Guardians – you are more than welcome to come and see how your children spend their day at the Nursery. We have had some parents who came along and we collectively learnt a great deal from the parents and likewise the parents enjoyed the day too. If you would like to join us for a few hours please contact Wana or the room leader.
Equality and inclusion policy
We have recently updated our Equality and inclusion policy. The statement of intent of this policy is “the nursery is committed to provide equality of opportunity and anti-discriminatory practice for all children and families according with their individual needs”. Discrimination on the grounds of gender, age, religion/belief, colour, creed, marital status, ethnic or national origin, or political belief, has no place within the nursery. For a full version of this policy please visit our website at abcnursery@org.uk, or ask a member of staff for a hard copy in the nursery. The member of staff responsible for this policy is Clare Bell who recently attended a training day on this issue. The other member who has been trained in this area is Danielle Keys.
If you would like to contribute with any ideas in making our nursery more inclusive and accessible to everyone please contact Clare or Ioana.
Preschool toys from home
Could you please try to discourage your child in bringing toys from home into the nursery because of health and safety issues.
Introduce your friends/family to the Nursery
The Nursery has been approved funding for 2 year olds by the Essex County Council, however this funding is for those families that are on low income. For more information please contact Ioana. For any new intakes the Nursery will offer a discount of 10% from one month’s fees to the parent who introduces a new intake to the Nursery.
